TOEIC Preparation Program

Description
TOEIC is an English language proficiency test. It is designed to measure the everyday English skills of individuals. The test is widely accepted by corporations, English language programs, and government agencies around the world. Many people take the TOEIC test to monitor their own progress in learning the language. The test is multiple-choice; It includes 100 questions in the listening section and 100 questions in the reading section.


Who should study in the TOEIC Preparation Program?
• Students interested in writing the TOEIC test
• Students interested in improving listening and reading skills
• Students at Level 4+ according to The Banff Education Centre / Canada Language Benchmarks or equivalent
• Students interested in working in an English workplace



TOEIC Scores

The highest score is 990. Our program is designed to improve your score from 50 to 100 points. Your score can be described in your resume as shown in the following table:

905 – 990
Professional proficiency in English. Ability to communicate effectively in almost any situation.

785 – 900 Working proficiency in English. Able to satisfy most requirements with language that is often, but not always, acceptable and effective.

605 – 780 Basic working proficiency in English. Ability to satisfy routine social demands and limited work requirements.

405 – 600 Advanced elementary proficiency in English. Can initiate and maintain predictable face-to-face conversations and satisfy limited social demands.

255 – 400 Elementary proficiency in English. Speaker has a functional but limited proficiency. Able to maintain very simple face-to-face conversations on familiar topics.

10– 250 Beginning proficiency in English. Able to satisfy immediate survival needs.

*Note: Our TOEIC Preparation Program is for students that meet the CLB 4+ Level requirement. This level is an intermediate level. Placement Testing will be on the first day of classes. If a student does not meet the required level or if there are less than 5 students registered for this course, students will be transfered to our English Communication Gold Program.
