Credits (For the Afternoon / Friday) What are Credits? Silver and Gold Program students use credits to choose the lessons and activities they would like to join. Each student will combine the Core Program (Monday to Thursday 8:30 - 11:30) with afternoon electives, cultural activities, field trips, and more, in and around the Canadian Rockies. SILVER (8) and GOLD (12) English students will have credits to use. Two credits can be exchanged for 2x 90-minute lessons in the afternoon or several credits for an outdoor activity with an English instructor or guide. Here are some examples..  (NOTES: *Downhill Skiing/Snowboarding -3Credits- or $45 (additional costs: Rentals $25, lift ticket $58. Ski/Snowboard Program students pay $45/day for lift tickets. BEC offers a great discount on lift tickets. Regular tickets are $64.75 (half day) & $79.75 (full day). •All Dollar amounts above include an advanced booking discount. Prices are higher if not bought in advance. •Prices and credit amounts are examples and may change without notice. Credit Sign up •Students receive a sheet with the student’s name, level and number of credits they have to use for afternoon lessons/activities. •Students go online (internet) and select the afternoon lessons or activities they would like to take for the upcoming month. For weekend activities or if students do not have enough credits, cash must be used. •Classes are filled first-come first-serve. Students who choose full classes will be able to choose another class. •If less than 5 students are in the class/activity, there is a 90% chance it will be cancelled. In this case students will have the choice of either using those credits for another activity/lesson that month or the following month. •Students MUST use all of their credits each month. The ONLY exception is when classes/activities are cancelled. -Maximum class size is 10. Maximum activity size varies. |
